About Karpagam Academy of Higher Education – [KAHE], Coimbatore

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), Coimbatore was established by Karpagam Charity Trust and is approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Academy was conferred with Deemed to be University status under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 in 2008.

The Academy strives to impart value-based quality education, to undertake scientific, socially relevant research and instil creativity among the learners and enrich them to serve and lead the society.

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education is home to 7000 students and 750 teaching & non-teaching staff. The Academy takes pride in having well experienced and trained faculty which includes 235 doctorates and Post Doctoral Fellows. Besides, there is visiting faculty from premier institutes like IIM, IISc, IIT, NIT, etc.

The Academy has executed Industrial MoUs and undertakes career-oriented courses for enhancing employability of the students. Besides, it collaborates with global Universities for Exchange & Twinning programme for International exposure.

Contemporary infrastructure, modern teaching methodologies, career-oriented training, excellent placements and the finest faculty have been the trademark of  Karpagam Academy of Higher Education. The Karpagam Research Centre is making great strides with 104 Patents and Copyrights filed, 36 Awarded and 56 Published, 2 of the granted patents are on the process being commercialized.

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education campus has excellent facilities from modern classrooms and well equipped state of the art laboratories to hygienic canteens.

As part of E-class room initiative, the Academy works on the latest technology platforms to create content with multimedia inputs, rich animation, text, graphics and instruction designs. Besides, interactive video streaming methodology is adopted.

The Campus is Wi-fi enabled with1 Gbps internet connectivity.

The Multi Purpose large Auditorium of the Academy hosts several events on campus facilitating large gatherings.

The Academy has a large computerized library with over 1 lakh books and 194 national and international journals. It has Internet and Email facilities.

The eligibility for B.E./B. Tech course is pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of (12th) Curriculum prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as three or four subjects of the study any other examination of any university or authority accepted by Anna University as equivalent thereto.

Students have to appear for an entrance examination. Based on the entrance examination and their +2 marks, admission will be provided.

For B. Arch Programme, the candidate has to submit the application for the courses along with NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) score.

 Candidates for admission to the first semester of the master’s degree programme should have passed an appropriate degree examination of Anna University or any other examination of any University or authority accepted by Anna University equivalent thereto.

Candidates seeking admission to M.Arch (Advance Design) Degree Programme should have passed the B. Arch having secured minimum 50% in aggregate.

Wi-Fi facility, laboratories, library and classrooms are available in the department. The quality of the food served is good and pretty decent. The College campus is equipped with a purified water facility and provided with good medication.

The College gives equal importance to sports and games along with studies.  Teachers here are good motivators, and their quality of teaching is excellent. They teach the students through different ways like PowerPoint presentations and other methods.
