The Institute offers Bachelor of Engineering courses in ECE, CSE, EEE, IT & MECH. The PROGRAMS follow the curriculum of Anna University, upgrading the curriculum from time to time. All the PROGRAMS are conducted on semester basis with pedagogy focusing on classroom lectures, guest lectures, self-learning, assignments, projects, practical sessions, periodical evaluation and feedback.

Velammal Institute of Technology is spread over 10.5 acres and has an integrated campus. The Institute has the following facilities.

The Library of the Institute has 25877 books with 5949 titles, 56 National and 36 International journals and 927 CDs There are 2 Online Journals (E-Journal Package): IEEE-ASPP and SME (Mechanical).
The Institute has separate boys and girls hostels in the college premises to accommodate 700 students with spacious rooms, excellent water, modern kitchen and dining facilities. The other facilities in the hostels are Water Heaters, well equipped Gymnasium, Telephones, indoor / Outdoor Sports facilities, purified water by R.O. system, 24/7 Medical Facility and Ambulance and Laboratories and Internet facilities beyond the college hours.
A mess with a dining hall accommodating about 600 students at a time and other facilities are provided to students and staff. Thevegetarian and non vegetarian food is prepared hygienically.
There are facilities for Indoor games and Basket ball, foot ball ground in the campus.

The College classrooms are spacious and have proper ventilation facilities. The College library is maintained with utmost perfection and has books needed for the students. The College hostel has all the basic facilities required by the students.
It has a very good canteen, efficient ground for the sports activities of the students. Students who are injured or not feeling well are treated properly by the doctors in the College. Sports are given utmost importance and all the students are well motivated and encouraged by the staff and management.
Teachers in the College are very helpful in project guidance and exam preparation. They clear student’s doubts instantly and with perfection.
