L.B.S College of Engineering, was came into existence in the year 1993. Affiliated to Kannur University, it provides several technical degree courses at undergraduate level, along with post graduate degree program in computer applications. Lal Bahadur Shastry College of Engineering is approved by (AICTE),All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi. It holds the distinction and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). For the past few years, the institute has produced several qualified technical innovative professionals, who are associated with few of the finest organizations of the country.
L.B.S College of Engineering is the institute of Computer training and consultancy registered under Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of the year 1955. It was established by Government of Kerala in the year 1976 in memory of our late Prime Minister. A well-managed Group Advisory System in the College offers personalized attention to all the students. Immediately after admission to the college, each student is assigned to a Staff Advisor , who would open a file for the academic and personal details of the student. The staff advisor guides the student in ones curricular and extra curricular activities in the college. Parents are encouraged to periodically contact the staff advisor to evaluate the progress of their wards. The Chief Tutor of each department monitors the activities of Staff Advisors in a department.

National Service Scheme: The main aim of NSS is to create amongst students a social consciousness.
Women Cell: The cell has been established in the college for the welfare of women in the college.
Road Safety Club: It mainly aims to create road awareness on road traffic aspects and educate road users about rules
