The Al-Azhar Dental College is a motive of providing advanced education to the future dentists. The changing habits of the public have made it important for them to visit dentists from different streams for their oral problems. The varying differences in the public & dentist ratio have raised the need for dentists in the society as well. To overcome this difference the Al-Azhar College is working hard to nurture more and more experts for the betterment of the nation on the whole. Understanding the importance of oral hygiene the people has become more cautious towards their oral health and this has raised the demand of trained and well-qualified professional dentists in today’s world.
Al-Azhar Dental College is located in Thodupuzha, Kerala. The college was established with the purpose of modernizing education in the stream of dentistry, in Kerala. Affiliated to M.G University, the institute is approved by Dental Council of India (DCI) and recognized by the Government of Kerala. The college organize an undergraduate level course in the discipline of dental sciences – Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
The institute provides good infrastructure facilities to the candidates. It has well designed classrooms, well-stocked library, Dentures workshop, well-equipped laboratories and clinical dental departments. It also gives hostel facility for both boys and girls which would be helpful for the candidates who live outside thodupuzha city. The town and the college are well connected by train and bus and also, lot of food joints and tourist places in the city enable candidates to go for a hangout and refresh themselves of their stress schedules and enjoy themselves.
