Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering was founded in the year 2002. It is affiliated to University of Kerala and approved by AICTE, the self- financing Engineering College. The Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering is named after its founder, the late H H Moran Mar Baselios, the sixth Catholicons of the East and the Malankara Metropolitan of Malankara Orthodox Church. The renowned college is run by C T Eapen Trust under Malankara Orthodox Church. The college started functioning with the monumental objective of enhancing academic excellence and competence in aspirants, especially in the fast-growing domain of Engineering and Technology.
The main aim of BMCW is to develop and manage a best professional college, which promotes academic excellence in students for meeting the ever-growing demand of employing agencies in India and abroad, to provide with a right understanding of the noble heritage and vision of Indian culture and in the minds of the students a deep sense of morality and ethical standards so as to develop potential personalities, to offer best infrastructural facilities and competent faculty in the Institution and to bestow special attention in molding the character of the students enabling them to become responsible citizens who care for the underprivileged in the society.

Library
The Library houses a store of several books from the best authors in the world from the electronics sector. We also encourage students to use the digital library and other similar allied services.
The Library houses a store of more than over 23000 books, more than around 300 International and National Journals from the best authors published in popular Journals covering several branches of Engineering & Technology, Management and Humanities. A New completely wooden furnished library is well equipped with International and National Journals Section, Reference, Books section, Digital Library, e- Library, Online Journals reference section, Reading Room, with an amazing collection.
Wi- Fi Access
The entire campus including Cafeteria and library are fully Wi-Fi enabled. More than over 500 computers on-campus are linked to the internet through leased line and broadband connections with the network of over 10 high end servers powered by Cisco switches and managed from a centralized Data Centre. The internet activity is not only restricted to the BMCE college premises.
Software
The BMCE repository boasts of software between the industry and college. We encourage students to learn more professional skills and become complete well rounded industry ready professionals.
Sports Facilities
The BMCE College has a very active Arts and Sports Club. The Arts Club organizes annual arts fest during the second half of the Academic Year. The Sports Club that conducts Annual Sports which is a 3-day course programme. The several events include paper presentation, debugging, technical quiz, software contests etc.
