Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur was founded in the year 2002. The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to University of Calicut. JEC comes under the umbrella of Thrissur Educational Trust, which was incepted by the Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur, started functioning at Cheruthuruthy in the year 2002.It has emerged as a model among the self financing college in Kerala.Within a decade it achieved an envious position has fourth best engineering college in the state and third position among the engineering colleges affiliated to the University of Calicut.

Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur provides 11 degree courses across 1 streams namely Engineering and across 2 degree programs like B.Tech, M.Tech. JEC campus is spread across 36 Acres. Hostel facility is not available for the students. It includes campus facilities such as Auditorium, Wifi, ATM, Boys Hostel, Seminar hall, Canteen, Computer Lab, Gym, Library, Class Room, Sports, Banking Grounds are also available. Jyothi Engineering College’ accepts KEAM – BE/B.Tech for admission into Engineering degree courses.
