Co-operative Institute of Technology, was set up in the year 1999 by Co-operative Academy of Professional Education. It is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology, and approved by (AICTE) All India Council for Technical Education , New Delhi. The main mission of the institute is to develop and well equipped, qualified, globally accepted, world class technically professionals, those who are capable of updating with cutting edge technologies, and innovative ideas with highest ethical values as inner strength, for the upliftment of mankind, trained through high profiled well experienced faculty members, career oriented degree courses and interactive teaching-learning process.
The institute spread across an area of 26 acre and situated at Kakkoramala, of around 12 km towards the eastern side of Vatakar through Vatakara-Panikkotty- Road. The first Engineering College under the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education Thiruvananthapuram.

Computer Centre
The college has a computer centre with almost 230 computers which are well equipped with latest tools and technologies.
Library
The library is spread over an area of around 430 sq. mtrs. and has a reading room with capacity of almost 75 students. It has a collection of almost 3035 titles and 7376 volumes of books. It subscribes around 35 national and 10 international journals.

The hostel facility is available for students separately.
