Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology [SKCET], Coimbatore established in 1998 has rapid stride with remarkable achievements in the field of Engineering and Technology. As an autonomous institution, accredited by NBA, it has secured ‘A’ grade by NAAC for its academic excellence.

Aiming at producing globally competitive Engineers with high ethical values and social responsibilities, the College strives to impart highest quality state-of-the-art technical education emphasizing innovation, research and development.

The College offers 8 UG programmes, 9 PG programmes, 1 Integrated programme and 7   Research programmes.  The Institute has well qualified and dedicated faculty imparting engineering education of quality to the students. It follows industry drafted Choice Based Credit System(CBCS) curriculum and syllabi to develop students as skillful and responsible engineers.

SKCET takes pride in having a modern infrastructure with class rooms equipped with A.V aids, well equipped laboratories, and other facilities.

The central library is one of the best academic libraries in the state with a large collection of resources including 79,600 volumes and 40,927 titles of books on various subjects, especially on Engineering and Technology. More than 12,500 CDs / VCDs / DVDs contribute to the value of the resources in the library. Facilities are also available for e-learning through knowledge portal.

Separate hostels are provided to accommodate boys and girls with all the required facilities. PG and final year students are allotted single rooms. All the hostels are provided with hot water supply. The Boys hostels can accommodate 1600 students while those of girls accommodate 850 students.

The College encourages the participation of the students in sports and games by providing facilities like playgrounds and courts for Cricket, Football, Hockey and Volleyball and indoor games like Table Tennis, Shuttlecock, Carom and Chess. Separate gyms for men and women are also provided to keep the students healthy and fit.

The College has a health center catering to the urgent health needs of the students and staff.  The transportation needs of the students are met by the college through a fleet of 15 buses. The buses pick up the students from specific pick up points and drop them at the same points.

The eligibility for B.E. / B. Tech is a pass in HSC or its equivalent with a minimum percentage of 45% for General Category and 40% for others. For M.E. Degree course, the candidate is required to pass the qualifying examination recognized by Anna University. Candidates need to appear for the TANCET Examination conducted by Anna University or GATE Entrance Exam.

Every year SKCET – Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology admissions are conducted for the students on the basis of cut off marks released by SKCET – Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology. There are smart classrooms in the college, and they also contain the best lab facilities. Classrooms are advanced, and everything is taught by providing high knowledge. Sports and games are important in the college.

Teachers are well qualified with subject knowledge. They prepare their own presentations and teach the students. Students are able to learn the concepts easily because of the teaching capabilities of teachers. Courses offered here are relevant, and the students are able to learn much from the courses defined.

The infrastructure is very good.  The college maintains a good environment inside the campus. The students have free Wi-Fi. The library is one of the best. The labs are very clean and air-conditioned. The hostels are clean and provide better food but only vegetarian.
