About Jerusalem College of Engineering – [JCE], Chennai

Jerusalem College of Engineering in Chennai was established in the year 1995 by the Jerusalem Education Trust to impart quality engineering education to the students. It is the first Self Financing Engineering College accredited by NAAC. It is also accredited by NBA, New Delhi. The Institution was awarded Autonomous status in 2019.

Jerusalem College of Engineering strives to emerge as an international institution of excellence in imparting the finest quality engineering, technology and management education based on ethical and societal values.  

The College offers 7 Under-graduate and 6 Post-graduate courses in Engineering, Technology and Management.

The well-qualified faculty members of the college have both academic and industrial experience. The alumni of the college are holding key positions in various national/international industries and academic institutions. The institute has been consistently getting University Ranks at both the UG and PG level.

Jerusalem College of Engineering in Chennai has very good infrastructural facilities with spacious classrooms and laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment.

The well-stocked college library is fully computerized and barcode system is followed in all transactions. Online Public access catalogue system is available for the users. The library has Inter Library Loan facility with Anna University, British Council Library and MALIBNET (Madras Library Network). The library has a separate Audio-Visual Room. Audio-Visual classes are conducted from various departments especially the Science & Humanities department. The audio-visual room is also utilized for conducting workshops.

The cafeteria open to all students, staff and any other visitors to the campus serves quality and wholesome diet to the students.

Our locally owned and operated gym and fitness centre has all the latest equipment and technology to help students to keep fit.   

The college offers comfortable and safe hostel facilities within the campus separately for boys and girls with hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management. Each hostel operates its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space, ample air and light.

The College provides for intensive sporting programmes and excellent sporting facilities. The college is known for the sports activities with the students winning several prestigious tournaments conducted at various levels.

The College is providing 20 buses to various routes in and around Chennai to enable the students to reach the college in time and without difficulties.

The eligibility for B.E./B.Tech course is a pass in the Higher Secondary Examination with Curriculum prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as three or four subjects of the study or any other examination of any university or authority accepted by Anna University as equivalent thereto.

The eligibility for PG programme is a pass in an appropriate Degree Examination of Anna University or equivalent as per the Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) Criteria.

 Infrastructure is good. The lab has many features. Everyone will get their chances. The library has standard author books and once a week, library session is allocated especially to make use of books.

Classrooms have projectors to understand concepts practically. EEE faculty is very good and strong in technical. They make you do the project by yourself so that you can learn all aspects and they will help you in every way to achieve it. Industrial visit with respect to core takes place every semester.

Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is the best than other colleges. College staff members are good.
