JEPPIAAR SRR Engineering College was established by Jeppiaar Educational Trust in 2002. It is situated in Ram Nagar, Padur in Chennai.
The vision of JEPPIAAR SRR Engineering College is to make it a well-established world-class Research and Development centre in the field of Science and Technology and to become a reputed Institution with academic excellence in the country.
The College is approved by AICTE and it is affiliated to Anna University. The Institution offers 6 full time Under Graduate Programmes (B.E. and B. Tech.) and 2 PG programmes in Engineering.

JEPPIAAR SRR Engineering College has a beautiful and serene campus ideal for technical education and takes pride in having everything required as part of the modern infrastructure.
The College has spacious classrooms and well-equipped laboratories for all the Departments and a well-stocked library. The other facilities include hostels for boys and girls, seminar hall, research Centre, indoor and outdoor grounds for various sports and games.
The College has a fully air-conditioned and 200 seat Seminar Hall equipped with the latest teaching aids like LCD projector, slide projector and over head projector, ideal to conduct seminar or conference or Video Conference.
The fully automated College Central Library stocks over 20,000 books and 15 International and 45 National Journals for Engineering departments. Besides, there are also Online resources for the departments of CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, CIVIL, MECH and MBA.
In addition, each department has a department library with about 5,000 books and journals to cater to the needs of the faculty and students for textbooks and references.
The College has two broadband connections of 16 Mbps for students and faculty to help prepare on the latest technology and to participate in many Intra/inter events.
Breakfast and tea for all students and staff are served in front of the class blocks. For the students who attend special classes in the evening after the regular classes, tea and snacks is served. All visitors to the college, teaching and non-teaching staff shall take breakfast, lunch free of cost.
Excellent hostel facilities are provided in the college campus for the boys and girls. Spacious rooms with attached bath are available for both boys and girls. Security and safety of the students are given utmost importance.

The eligibility for B.E /B. Tech Degree course is that the student must have passed the 12th standard examination of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary (Academic) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or must have passed the Diploma in Engineering /Technology examinations conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu, for admission to direct second year (Lateral Entry) or the student must have passed an equivalent examination accepted by Anna University, Chennai for admission to B.E. / B. Tech. Degree courses.
Every year the College conducts admissions for the students on the basis of cut off declared by the College.

The Placement Cell of the College organizes campus placements for the students after proper guidance and training on the developments in technology. Pre Placement talks, motivation classes, Aptitude test, Group Discussions and Mock Interviews are being conducted frequently. Aptitude tests, Technical Tests are conducted twice a week for all year students, making the students competent to meet the challenges.
Class Room Training is given for all the students in the area of Aptitude/Technical/Communication, from second year onwards. Apart from this online assessment test facilities is provided to all.
