Anand Institute of Higher Technology – [AIHT], Chennai established in 2000 aims at providing quality education in Engineering and Higher Technology to the students shaping them into world-class engineers to suit the requirements of the industries all over the world. The Institute, a prominent and reputed institution is located on Old Mahabalipuram Road, Kazhipattur in Chennai.
With a Vision to be a centre of excellence in multi-disciplinary education and research, the college strives to produce technically competent, socially committed technocrats and administrators through excellent education of global level.
The College is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. It is approved by AICTE and the courses are accredited by NBA.
The college offers 9 undergraduate courses and 3 postgraduate courses in Engineering and Technology and an MBA programme.
The college takes pride in having highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff, and expensive and modern machinery as part of the excellent infrastructure.
The college is in the process of having collaborations with Universities abroad. An agreement on Academic Cooperation between Soongsil University, Seoul, Korea and Anand Institute of Higher Technology, has been signed in 2010. The Institute has also executed MOUs with many reputed industries.

The Institute has aesthetically designed and strongly constructed modern buildings providing for well-furnished classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, fully air-conditioned main and mini auditoriums fitted with wonderful sound systems. The campus has also a comfortable hostel provided with a digital library enabled with internet and wifi connectivity and a well designed and well-developed playground with all outdoor play courts.
The Institute has a well-equipped library stacking more than 42,269 volumes of excellent books on various engineering subjects, management, basic sciences and general. It also subscribes to more than 198 periodicals in print. Besides, the library has 1028 bound volumes of periodicals. The audiovisual educational programmes and video courses are often carried out in the library.
A separate Digital Knowledge Centre is also functioning enabling the users to browse the e-journals, e-learning materials, digital library collections of this campus and other online journals. The library has one file server for digital library and 20 nodes for the purpose of Information Retrieval system.
The College accommodates about 450 students, both boys and girls in separate two hostels for UG and PG with modern amenities. There are facilities for indoor games and a well-equipped gym. A college van is available to meet the urgent needs of hostlers.
AIHT promotes sports. The sports facilities include indoor facilities like Table Tennis, Chess, etc. and outdoor facilities like Volleyball, Basket Ball, Kabadi and cricket, etc.
The other facilities include a stationery shop, a health centre under an experienced physician with all the facilities, a canteen providing wholesome snacks, cool drinks, coffee, tea, etc.
The College operates a fleet of 43 buses and other vehicles for the transportation of the students and staff from the Chennai Metropolitan and suburban areas.

For B.E./B.Tech, minimum educational qualification of the candidate should be 10+2 and should have minimum 45% of mark in his/her studies as per the norms of Anna University. One of the subjects at the Higher Secondary level should be mathematics.
The minimum eligibility for various categories for M.E. / M.Tech Degree Courses is a ‘Pass’ in recognized bachelor’s degree obtaining at least 50% of the qualifying examination (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category). Candidates who pass in the qualifying degree course will appear for TANCET Exam, or MAT/GATE.

Wi-Fi is provided to students. The library of the College has enough space in labs. The College also has centralised labs. Medical facilities are available 24/7. A gym was also provided with well-equipped items.
The AIHT has proficient professors in all departments and 90% results are obtained in each semester. Every classroom is designed in ways that every student likes. The lab facility is awesome with a high-speed Internet connection and free Wi-Fi connections.
