JKCET or Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test is a State-level exam conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination. Those seeking admission to B. Tech and B. E. programs in various private and government colleges across Jammu & Kashmir are required to qualify in this examination.
The basic eligibility for this exam is a pass in the 10+2 standard with an aggregate of 50% marks. The Application Form for the exam will be made available on the official website at jakbopee.org from February 2021. There are 7 colleges in Jammu& Kashmir region which grant admission to all qualified candidates through JKCET. These listed colleges provide 9 specialization categories in the Engineering field.

Kindly Note: Candidates can apply for JKCET 2021 Application Forms as scheduled on jkbopee.gov.in.
Aspirants who wish to apply need to pay Rs.1200/- for filling the Application Form for JKCET 2021. Candidates can pay the application fees through online mode through Credit-card/Debit-card/Net Banking facility.
After successful payment, a Transaction Acknowledgement page with transaction details will be displayed which you can either note down or take a print out of the same for reference purpose.

Documents Ready for Filling Application Forms 2021
Candidates need to keep the listed documents ready before filling in the application form to avoid any wrong filling or mismatch in the details filled in. The documents needed are:
- A soft copy of recent passport size photograph
- A soft copy of a signature
- A scanned image of thumb-impression
- Scanned images of Matriculation certificate; for purpose of the date of birth.
- Permanent Resident Certificate (To be uploaded).
- Reserved category certificates (If any)
- Valid email-id and active mobile number.

JKCET 2021 Image Specifications
The JKCET 2021 Application Form mentions appropriate image dimensions that should be met; otherwise the application submitted will be rejected. The specifications for the images to be uploaded are:

Instructions for Uploading Photographs
- You have to upload your recent passport size colour photograph.
- The picture should be taken against a light background, preferably white.
- If you have to use flash, ensure there’s no “red-eye” in the image
- Photos taken with Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
- If a candidate wears glasses ,make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
Instructions for Uploading Signature
- You must sign on a white sheet of paper with Black Ink/jel pen.
- Note that the signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person. If your signature on the answer script does not match at the time of the examination, the Hall Ticket of the applicant will be disqualified.
Instructions for Uploading Thumb Impressions
- You have to put your Left Thumb Impression (LTI) on white paper with Blue/Black Stamp Pad.
- The Left Thumb Impression must be given only by the applicant and not by any other person.

How to Apply for JKCET 2021 in Detail
Step 1 involves filling in the mandatory details. Click on the link of JKCET exam posted on the website. Next, the applicants need to click on “Click Here to Fill the Application Form” button given under the steps to fill the Application Form.
Read all instructions carefully before filling in. Now tick on the Declaration box and click on the Apply button.
Step 2 is the uploading of images. After the candidates have filled in the details of the Application Form, they would have to upload the scanned images of their photo, signature and thumb impression.
To upload the images, click on the “Select File Button”. Now choose the image from the computer to upload. The image will be uploaded in the Application Form. After the uploading of images, enter the verification code as shown on the screen and click on “Submit” button.
Step 3 is Preview of the Application Form. The application form is now ready for your review. You will notice two colours red and green buttons available on the screen.
All candidates who wish to edit their entered details again may click on the RED Button while those who have entered the details satisfactorily are requested to click on the GREEN Button.
After the Green Button has been clicked, an Application Number of the Candidate will be displayed on the Screen. In addition to this, a confirmation mail will also be sent to your registered email address.
Step 4 is clicking on the Make Payment Link. By clicking on the link provided, a new screen will open for making the payment. You need to enter your Application number and Date of Birth to make the payment proceed to Submit button.
Click on the Pay button. Read all instructions carefully and tick the box to proceed to Payment Button. Choose the mode of payment and enter all the relevant details. Upon due completion of the payment, JKCET 2021 will generate acknowledgement details. Take a print out for future use.

JKCET 2021 Admit Card
The Board will issue the admit card for JKCET 2021 to all those candidates who successfully submit the application form. The admit card will be available online on the official website only.
Candidates are suggested to take multiple printouts of the admit card after downloading it from the website. In case a candidate forgets to carry his/her admit card to the examination centres they will not be allowed to take the test under any circumstances.

JKCET 2021 RESULTS Check
Result will be declared by JKBOPEE in the month of May 2021. Candidates can check their results on the official website.
Candidates have to provide roll number and date of birth after which the result will be displayed. Candidates must download and preserve the result for future purposes.

JKCET 2021 EXAM PATTERN
JKCET 2021 exam will be conducted in Last Week of April 2021 in offline mode only. There will be a total of 180 questions in the multiple-choice question format. The question paper is divided into 3 sections namely, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Each section would be of 60 marks-based questions. All questions would carry 1 mark each for right answers and 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
JKCET 2020 will be Pen & paper-based test. There will be a single paper comprising 180 objective type questions.
The duration of JKCET 2020 is 3 hours.

JKCET 2021 Counselling
Candidates who manage to secure their names in the merit list will be eligible for the counselling process. Notification for the counselling process will be released by BKOPEE after the declaration JKCET 2021 Result.
In the counselling process, candidates have to choose the discipline they want to study. Discipline will be given on the basis of rank secured by the candidates and the availability of seats.
