TS PGECET 2020 or Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance examination. The examination is organized by the Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE). This exam offers admission to Architecture, Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology, and others. 

TS PGECET 2020 Application Form

Candidates can go through the application forms in detail as given below:

  • All application forms are available from the second week of March 2020.
  • Candidates can fill the application form online. No other offline modes will be entertained.
  • Those candidates who apply on the basis of GATE/ GPAT scores will have to fill separate forms.
  • Candidates must fill all the details in the application form carefully and check eligibility before applying.
  • Candidates have to upload their scanned images of the photo and signature.
  • Candidates can fill their application forms till last week of April 2020.
  • The application form can be submitted with late fee till the fourth week of May 2020.
  • In case of mistakes candidates can make corrections in the application form from second week of May 2020.
  • There is no need to send any printout of the application by post to the exam authority.
  • Take printouts of the application form. 
  • Keep it safe till the admission procedures are over.

  • The application fee should be paid only online.
  • Candidates can pay online fee using credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ TS online and AP online centres.
  • Application fee will be non-refundable in nature.

TS PGECET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidates should be an Indian citizen.
  • Domicile: Candidates must belong to the Telangana state or Andhra Pradesh.
    • Education Qualification: For M. Tech Courses: Candidates must pass B.E. / B. Tech degree from any recognized university.
    • For M. Arch. Courses: Candidates should have passed B. Arch degree from any recognized university.
    • For M. Pharmacy Courses: Candidates should pass B. Pharm degree from any recognized institute.
    • For D. Pharm Courses: Candidates should possess 3 years B. Pharmacy degree from any recognized university or institutes.
  • Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination. SC/ ST category candidates must secure minimum of 45% marks in their qualifying examination.

How to Apply for the TS PGECET 2020?

  • Visit the official website.
  • Now click on ‘Apply online’ tab.
  • Click on the ‘Application fee payment’ tab. Fee will be paid through online mode.
  • Enter the required fee details and then click on ‘Proceed to payment’ button.
  • Click on the ‘Click here to fill the application form’ tab.
  • Check your payment status.
  • Fill all asked details carefully.
  • Fill all mandatory details like education, qualification, personal and etc.
  • After filling up of all the details, upload your scanned passport size photo and signature as mentioned in the application form.
  • After that click on ‘Confirm’ button.
  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of the filled application form.
  • Keep printouts safe till the admission procedures.

TS PGECET HALL TICKET Process

TS PGECET will release the Hall Ticket for the Entrance Exam in the fourth week of May 2020. The admit card is an important document which all candidates need to carry for the exam. All appearing for this examination are requested to check whether their details are up to date and correct.  

In case of any discrepancy, the candidates need to contact the officials immediately online. The Hall Ticket needs to be saved and is required at the time of counselling. 

TS PGECET HALL TICKET Dates

The concerned authority will schedule the examination from 28th to 31st May 2020. The examination will be organized through online mode. Candidates will be able to download their admit card through website. 

TS PGECET Admit Card 2020 will be available from fourth week of May 2020. It can be obtained only by online from the website. Candidates must check the answer key after a few days of the examination.  The results will be declared in June 2020.

DOWNLOADING THE HALL TICKET

  • Visit to the official website. 
  • Click on that link.
  • A new page will be opened on your screen.
  • Fill your “Registration Number”.
  • Select your medium as “Date of Birth” & “Exam Paper for Entrance Test”.
  • Click on the “Download Hall Ticket” button.
  • Check & download it.
  • Keep a printout copy of it for further process.

What the Hall Ticket Contains?

The admit card contain details of the candidates and exam given as under:

  • Name of the Candidate

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES

  • Candidates must bring their valid TS PGECET 2020 Hall Ticket on the exam day.
  • No candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the given hall ticket.
  • Candidates will get the admit card only after submission of their application forms & payment of fee.
  • Candidates should present in the exam centre before 1 hour of the examination.
  • They should not carry any textual material, calculator, mobile phone, log table & any other electronic devices.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall until the examination is over.

TS PGECET Exam Pattern

Knowing the knowledge about exam pattern is necessary for the preparation of any examination. By the TS PGECET exam pattern, students will come to know  about details like question paper type, exam duration, marking scheme, language of question paper and maximum marks contained by the question paper. The entrance test will be held from 28th to 31st May 2020.

Students will get admission into ME/M. Tech/M. Pharmacy/M. Arch/Graduate level Pharm-D Courses.

  • The entrance test will be conducted online i.e. computer-based test (CBT).
  • The exam is conducted in two shifts: forenoon and afternoon.
  • A total time of 2 hours (120 minutes) will be allotted to attempt the question paper.
  • Each paper contains 120 questions.
  • There are multiple choice questions in TS PGECET.
  • The question paper will be English only.
  • One mark will be given to the candidates for right answer.
  • No negative marking is given in this examination.
  • The syllabus of entrance test is different for each paper.

TS PGECET Syllabus 

The syllabus is prescribed by the Osmania University. It will be comprised as per the papers. It covers topics for which, students studied during the bachelor degree course. The syllabus will be different for every discipline. The Syllabus depends upon the application status of the candidate. Candidates must prepare in advance for the examination according to the official syllabus.

TS PGECET CUT-OFF’S

Osmania University coming under the Telangana State for Higher Education will be responsible for the declaration of TS PGECET 2020 Cut-Off’s. The minimum marks needed for the admission will be made available through cut off of the TS PGECET 2020.

TS PGECET 2020 is often used as a screening process as well. A number of factors such as the number of available seats, previous years cut off, difficulty level of the qualifying exam and others would decide the cut off needed to qualify. 

Candidates meeting the cut off will be able to participate in the counselling sessions. Allotments will be done as per the scores obtained in the TS PGECET or GATE Scores. 

The process of Cut Off for GATE/GPAT Qualified Candidates is as follows:

  • Candidates must first register themselves and pay the counselling fee of Rs. 600 for General Category and Rs. 300 for reserved category.
  • Next, candidates have to fill the form with their personal, academic and communication information.  The Scanned photo of the candidate and GATE/GPAT admit card must also be uploaded.
  • Originals along with photocopies of the documents have to be verified by the candidates. Once verified, the candidates will be given a document verification certificate.
  • The preferred choices of selected colleges and courses must be selected.
  • Provisional allotment letters will be released online.
  • Candidates have to confirm their admission process.

In case of TS PGECET Qualified Candidates

  • Candidates registration needs to be done by paying a counselling fee of Rs. 1200/- for the General and Rs. 600/- for reserved categories.
  • Apart from the above steps, the documents also need to be verified.
  • The courses and colleges choices have to be filled as per the candidate’s preference.
  • The seat allotment letter will be published in online mode. All selected candidates will have to confirm their allotment.

TS PGECET 2020 Counselling 

Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will organize counselling of TS PGECET 2020 tentatively from the second week of August. The TS PGECET 2020 counselling consists of online registration, payment of fee, document verification, choice filling and seat allotment. 

Separate counselling will be conducted for GATE and TS PGECET qualified candidates. During the TS PGECET counselling 2020, first preference will be given to  candidates who qualified  the GATE exam. 

There will be two rounds of TS PGECET 2020 counselling conducted by the authorities. Allotment of seats are done on the basis of merit, preferences, category and availability of seats. 

Candidates should seek help in the counselling of TS PGECET 2020 at the various help centres allotted by the authorities.

GATE 2020 Qualified Candidates Counselling

Firstly, the candidates will have to register themselves and pay the required counselling fee. Candidates have the choice to complete the registration process on their own or at the help centres. 

The details like Email address and mobile number must be provided during registration. A counselling fee of Rs. 600/- for General and Rs. 300/- for the reserved category have to be paid in online.

Next, the application form has to be filled with personal, academic and contact details. Recent colour passport size photographs along with GATE/GPAT Hall Ticket that are scanned, should be uploaded in the application form. Printouts should be taken for future use.

Registered candidates have to visit the TS PGECET counselling 2020 help centres and verify their documents. A document verification certificate is given to the candidates after the verification process. The following documents is to be presented for verification (both in original and photocopy):

  • Score card of GATE
  • Qualifying examination degree/provisional certificate and marksheets
  • 10th and 12th standard marksheets and certificates.
  • Domicile/Residential certificate
  • Aadhaar card
  • Category certificate issued by a competent authority (if applicable)
  • Income certificate issued after January 1, 2020.

After verifying their documents, candidates have to fill their choice of course and college online. The selection is done in the order of preference. The list of seats will be available as per the candidate’s rank and they will have to accordingly select their preference.

Seats will be allotted by the authorities as per ranks secured, preferences, category and availability of seats. Seat allotment details will be available online.

The shortlisted candidates have to download their provisional allotment letter and report to their respective institute at the prescribed date and time.  In order to confirm the admission, the candidates have to pay the required fee and submit the necessary documents.

TS PGECET 2020 Qualified Candidates Counselling

Registration and Verification of Documents: Qualified candidates will have to report to the help centres according to their ranks to register for the counselling process by filling out basic details. 

A Counselling fee of Rs. 1200/- for General Category and Rs. 600/- for the reserved category candidates has to be paid online. The following documents (original and xerox copies) have to be submitted for verification:

  • Hall ticket and score card of TS PGECET 2020.
  • Degree/Provisional marksheets and certificates of qualifying examination.
  • 10th and 12th standard certificates and marksheets.
  • Aadhaar card
  • Domicile/residential certificate
  • Income certificate issued after January 1, 2020.
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

Candidates have to login using their TS PGECET 2020 hall ticket number and rank. The filling of choices can be done by the candidates on their own or through the help centres. The candidates must make their choices based on their preference.

The candidates will be able to access the seat allotment results online. The provisional allotment letter has to be downloaded by the candidates and taken to their respective institutes where confirmation of admission has to be done. Another round of seat allotment will be held if the seats remain vacant.

Eligible Candidates for Second Round of Counselling

  • Allotted candidates who wish to get admission in another participating institute.
  • Candidates who participated in the first round of counselling but were not allotted.
  • Candidates who could not participate in the first round of TS PGECET counselling 2020 are eligible for the second round of counselling.
  • Candidates who were allotted seats in the first round, but did not pay the required fee or report to their respective allotted institute.
