BR Ambedkar university is generally called as Andhra Pradesh Open University and it was established on August 26th 1982 and later it was renamed under Dr.B.R, Ambedkar Open University on October 26th 1991 by the Andhra government. The university strives to give education to each person irrespective of their creed,caste and gender and all the courses of BRAOU is recognized by the University Grant Commission, New Delhi. The distance education system which is implemented by the government of india is really an appreciable initiative where the public who are having the thirst for knowledge can fulfil their dreams with the open education system.

BR Ambedkar Open University provides a wide variety of courses to their candidates in different disciplines currently they are offerening graduation, post graduate and Ph.D programmes to the educational aspirants. Dr B R Ambedkar Open University admissions can be done through online or offline methods depending upon the candidates comfortability. The campus is situated on an area of 53.63 acres of land in jubilee hills with newly constructed buildings and green lawns which enhance the scenic beauty of the campus.

Education Loans
Getting Education is no longer an insurmountable issue these days. Education loans are available to the needy and deserving candidates from the Nationalized Banks at reasonable rates of interest. Theses loans are refunded after the completion of the degree/diploma.
Financial Help

It is a motto with the management of our team, “Poverty would not be allowed to stand in the way of the completion of the education of meritorious candidates. Such students are generously helped. Academically intelligent and poor candidates to acquire higher education by giving them financial help in the form of tuition fee waiver. Offers in tuition fee is also given to merit position holders in the competitive examinations/qualifying examinations and position holders in the University examinations. The parents of meritorious candidates are also honoured along with the candidates in the annual functions of the Colleges.
