Federal Institute of Science And Technology was established in the year 2002. FISAT is a self-financing engineering college and is private. The Federal Bank Officers’ Association (FBOA) is the sole representative body of all the officers who are at the Federal Bank. FBOA is an initiative of FBOA. In the Professional Education Sector FISAT holds a particular/ unique position in South India. Federal Institute of Science And Technology (FISAT) has been developed and designed to be a Center of Excellence in its professional education. The motto of the institute is Focus on Excellence. In the education world, the institute has carved a territory for itself. In academics, extra-curriculum, co-curriculum activities, and placements, the students of FISAT have always performed well. The institute is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A grade and it has also received ISO 9001: 2015 certification from International Organization for Standardization.
Federal Institute of Science And Technology (FISAT) Admission can be done by securing a rank in KEAM for government quota or by management quota. FISAT is located at Mookanoor which is near Angamaly in Ernakulum District in Kerala and is the birthplace of the establisher of The Federal Bank Limited, Late K.P Hormis. The campus of FISAT is christened Hormis Nagar to honor the memory of K.P Hormis. FISAT offers six undergraduate courses in Engineering, six postgraduate courses in M.Tech, an MBA program with specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, etc and an MCA program. The institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the Kerala Technological University and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
