Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, Chennai was established in the year 2008 by Sapthagiri Educational Trust, a non-profitable, and non-minority institution. The College is functioning at Sai Leo Nagar near the well-known fascinating Theme Park, “Kishkinta”.
The Institution aims to build a better nation through quality education for sustainable development.
The institution affiliated to Anna University is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Besides, five departments (CSE, MECH, IT, EEE, ECE)of the Institute have been accredited for 3 years by the NBA Expert Team.
Currently the Institute offers 8 Undergraduate, 2 Post Graduate programmes in Engineering and 1 Post Graduate Management Programme.

Sri Sairam Institute of Technology has a modern infrastructure with spacious class rooms and well equipped laboratories and workshops. The college buildings are architecturally designed as per AICTE. The other facilities are mentioned below.
The Institute has adequate number of computers with high speed internet connections and software, distributed in different locales like departments, laboratories, library, office and hostels for boys and girls.
The Institute library, centrally air conditioned, was established in the year 2008. It houses more than 31834 volume, 7959 title of books and reference volumes, stacked for the benefit of staff and students. There is also an established media resource centre. The library subscribes to more than 114 specialized International & National journals. The Library has Institutional membership in Anna University, DELNET (Developing Network), British Council Library (BCL), National digital Library (NDL), Madras Library Association (MALA), Society for the Advancement of Library and Information Science (SALIS).
Medical care of the students is catered to by the Health Centre of the Institute with inpatient facility for male and female students.
A cafeteria with modern facilities is available within the campus for the Institute community. The Cafeteria with a seating of over 500 serves healthy and hygienic food.
The College takes pride in having excellent infrastructure for sports with 400-meter running track and Synthetic Courts for indoor sports activities. The courts include two pairs of Food Ball and Cricket Ground, Ball Badminton, Cricket Nets, Hockey Field, Hand Ball field, Standard 400 Metre Track and field, Volley Ball Court, Two each of Basket Ball Court and Kabaddi court and a tennis court. Table Tennis Boards, Carom and Chess boards and 4 Badminton Courts are available for indoor games. A Multi Gym is also available.

The eligibility for B.E./B. Tech course is pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of 12th Class with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as three or four subjects of the studyor any other examination of any university or authority accepted by Anna University as equivalent thereto.
Candidates for admission to the first semester of the master’s degree programme should have passed an appropriate degree examination of Anna University or any other examination of any University or authority accepted by Anna University equivalent thereto.
Sri Sairam Institute of Technology considers the cut off ranks of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission [TNEA] exams that candidates must secure to get admission to the B. Tech program offered by the college.

The Training and Placement Cell strives to groom the students into professionals with sound technical proficiency and soft skills through training programmes, certification courses in association with personalities /companies of eminence. TAP Cell empowers students to face the challenges during the recruitment process. It facilitates the scholars to conquer their career goals by instilling skills in a dynamic mode, aiming at the preparedness of the graduates in compliance with the needs of the industry. Training activities are organized throughout the year towards preparing prospective students for the campus selection. The training programs are planned to train the students across all disciplines in various technologies depending upon the student interests.
Special coaching program are arranged for higher study of aspirants from 2nd and 3rd years and to all interested students. The mission of the Centre for Higher Studies is to prepare and give exposure to students on pursuing higher studies abroad.

The Institute of Technology has facilities and infrastructure such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, entrepreneur cell, and environmental engineering lab for a better learning approach for the students.
The quality of the facilities in the hostel is good. The quality of food served in the mess and canteen is good too. In addition, medical facilities and sports are also available within the College premises.
Teachers in the college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is great and helpful for the students in clearing of the doubts. The course curriculum is relevant. Every semester, the teachers take students for industrial visits to get them pruned with much needed skills.
