IIT JAM 2021 Eligibility
One of the most important criteria for applying for the entrance exam is the eligibility mentioned on the website of IIT JAM for 2021. For applicants to apply to the topmost IIT MSc entrance exams, they must fulfill some slated requirements like:
- The candidates applying for the IIT JAM should have a Bachelor’s degree in Science subject.
- He/she should be an Indian /Foreign NRI’s.
- The aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL) category candidates and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates for qualifying the entrance exam.

IIT JAM 2021 Application Form
IISc Bangalore is going to conduct the upcoming Joint Admission Test for Masters on 14th of February 2021. The online form registration process was conducted from 10th September to 17th October 2020.
The aspirants will get a chance to make changes in their JAM registration form through the JOAPS portal from 2nd to 10th November.

Information to fill the Application Form of IIT JAM 2021
The aspirants are advised to keep all the documents and information ready before applying for IIT JAM Exam:
- Personal details like name, DOB, mobile number, e-mail address, date of birth, parent’s name etc.
- Complete address with PIN code.

- 10th, 12th and qualifying degree mark sheet/ College name
- Scanned photograph and signature.

Some important reminders:
1. The name of the candidate in the application form must exactly be the same as mentioned in the qualifying degree certificate. Do not use Prefix/titles such as Mr/Shri/Dr/Mrs/Smt, etc. before the name.
2. The candidates should not send hard copies of documents to the Organizing Institute. The applicable documents are to be uploaded online to the application website only.
3. OBC-NCL/EWS candidates do not need to upload any category certificate along with the filled online application form. However, they are required to submit this certificate issued as per the authorized officials at a later date.
Corrections in IIT JAM 2021 Application Form
The conducting IIT has re-opened the IIT JAM Correction window till 10th November 2020. Students can make changes in the information they have filled through the JOPAS portal through online mode. Make sure that you have filled the correct information, as this will be the last chance for the correction.
Correction in JAM Online Application form will be allowed as following-
- Change in Personal Information like Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Parents /Guardian’s Name etc.
- Change in Gender, Category, PwD Status information
- Change of examination city/town preference
- Add Second Test Papers

Important Reminders:
There are no charges for correction in personal information and examination city preference.
- The additional fee for making changes in gender/ category or addition of second test paper can be submitted through online payment via NET Banking, Debit/ Credit card/ UPI.
- Be careful while changing all the details in the application form and before submitting the correction form check the data you modified.
- Fees paid earlier will not be refundable in any case. For example, a general applicant changing gender from male to female and category from General to SC/ST/PwD, the fees paid earlier will not be refunded.
IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card
IIT JAM Admit Card has been released at the official website. Candidates are required to download the IIT JAM 2021 Admit Card @ joaps.iisc.ac.in. IIT JAM 2021 exam is scheduled to begin from 14th February 2021.
The candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below to download their admit card:
- Visit the official website of IIT JAM 2021 at joaps.iisc.ac.in.
- Click on the JAM 2021 Admit Card link.
- Login using your valid/ correct credentials.
- Save and download the JAM 2021 Admit Card.
IIT JAM 2021 Results
Results will be available for download from 20th March 2021 onwards. Candidates can download their score cards from 27th March to 31st July 2021. Candidates will be able to download their IIT JAM results through online medium.
For each test paper, an All India Rank (AIR) is assigned to the candidates based on the performance in the test paper.
The tie-breaking criterion will be adopted for assigning the rank to the candidates scoring the same aggregate marks in a test paper.
The candidate with a higher ratio of positive marks to negative marks will be given a higher rank. If this criterion fails to break ties, the concerned candidates will be awarded the same rank.
IIT JAM 2021 Merit List
The IIT JAM merit list 2021 will be released along with the results.
For each test paper, an All India Merit listwill be prepared based on AIR. The number of candidates included in the All India Merit List will depend on the total number of seats available in each category (OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, and PwD) in a given subject.

IIT JAM 2021 Counseling
The candidates whose name are listed in the merit list will be called for counseling. Candidates will be able to attend the IIT JAM counseling through online medium.
Qualified candidates will have to fill the admission form after releasing of the results. The first admission list will be available on 16th June 2021.
The admission form will be made available online on the website.
The candidates have to pay Rs. 600/- as admission fee. Candidates can choose the courses in order of preference, percentage, category, qualification etc.
The admission form will be released on 15th to 28th April 2021. Candidates are advised to carry their original documents during the admission.

Q: How can I change my preference for the exam centre?
A: The change of exam centre may be permitted if a request with a valid reason for the same is submitted through the JOAPS website along with an online payment of Rs. 500/-.
Q: What is meant by Under Scrutiny or Under Process?
A: Scrutiny and verification of documents is a manual process, so it takes time due to a large number of applications.
Q: What should I upload in X Class certificate fields?
A: Candidates have to upload Class X Certificate as a single pdf file within file size.
