IIST or Indian Institute for Space Science and Technology is an autonomous institution affiliated to ISRO and regulates admission in space sciences, space technology and space applications. No entrance examination is conducted by the Institute to offer admission in UG and PG courses. IIST offers admission on the basis of scores of national level exams for like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, JEST, UGC NET etc.

IIST 2021 Application Form will be released through online mode. IIST 2021 UG Application form will start from 1st Week of June 2021 for UG courses and from Second week of April 2021 for PG courses.
Application Forms of IIST 2021 have been put up on the official website of IIST. Candidates are advised to follow the application process for admission to UG and PG courses listed below:
- The application form will be available through online mode.
- Candidates can fill their application form for UG courses from 1st Week of June 2021.
- The application form for PG courses will be available from Second week of April 2021.
- Candidates must fill all the correct details in the application form.
- After submission of details, candidates will have to upload photograph and signature in the registration form.
- Reserved categories candidates need to upload caste certificate or medical certificate in the application form.
- Candidates have to fill their application form till 3rd Week of June 2021 for UG courses and for PG courses application can be submitted till Last Week of April 2021.
- Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form for further admission procedures.

IIST 2021 Application Criteria
For online registration of the application, the candidate should have access to a computer, a laser printer and Internet connection. They should also have their JEE (Main)-2014 Roll Number, JEE (Advanced)-2014 Roll Number and a valid email id.
Application Fees for IIST 2021
- Application fee can be paid through online mode with debit/credit card /net banking/ SBI bank collect.
- The application fee will be non-refundable in nature.

IIST 2021 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates must fulfil the following IIST 2021 Eligibility criteria before filling the application form:
- Both Indian and NRI candidates can apply.
- Candidates must pass 10+2 class from recognized board.
- Candidates must secure minimum of 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ST) in their qualifying exam.
- Candidates must have a valid score card of JEE Mains and JEE Advance 2020 exam.
- For PG Courses, minimum age limit must be 32 years for General categories candidates.
- For SC/ST and PWD candidate age relaxation will be provided as per the government of India.
- Candidates must pass B. Tech/ B.E. /M.S. /M.Sc. degree from any recognized university.
- Candidates must secure minimum of 60% aggregate in their qualifying examination.
- Candidates must have a valid score card of UGC NET/GATE/JEST exams.
- For Ph.D. Courses, Candidates age must be 35 years.
- Candidates must have PG degree from any recognized university.
How to Apply for IIST 2021 Entrance Exam
- Visit the official website.
- Enter your email or login details.
- Proceed for step 2.
- Fill the details i.e. education details, personal details carefully.
- After submission of details proceed to payment.
- Enter the fee details in the application form.
- You can pay fee through e-Challan and deposit to SBI bank.
- Now you should upload the signature, photograph and other required documents in the application form.
- You should upload the copy of Challan in JPG/PDF format.
- Now click ‘submit’ button.
- After submission of the application form you must take a printout of the application form for further admission procedures.
The admit card of IIST will be available for those candidates who have successfully submitted their application form. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of Indian Institute of Space & Technology.
Candidates have to download their admit card and it is important to carry it at the examination centre because without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Procedure for Download of Admit Card
The procedure mentioned below may be followed to download the admit card .
- First of all, candidates have to visit on the official website of IIST at https://www.iaspaper.net/iist-admit-card/
- Candidates have to search for the link of “IIST Admit Card 2021”
- They have to fill out all the required details in the provided space after searching the link.
- The IIST admit card 2021 will be displayed on the screen of the official website.
- They have to download it the admit card in PDF format
- It is also important to take the printout of the admit card.
- They have to save the hard copy of the downloaded IIST admit card 2021 for further reference.

IIST 2021 Rank List
Candidates will be able to check IIST admission rank list 2021 only through online mode. It will be available only for candidates those have submitted the application form successfully. For UG courses, IIST Result 2021 will be declared in the 3rd week of June 2021.
For PG Course, it will be published in the 2nd week of June 2021. The authority will release it for PG courses streams separately. IIST 2021 rank list will be published according to the category.

IIST 2021 Cut-Off
IIST 2021 Cut-Off will be released in 3rd week of June 2021. Cut off will be published through online mode. There are two types of cut off, i.e. eligibility cut off and admission cut off.
IIST Admission procedure 2021 will be organized through offline mode for UG & PG courses. The counselling will be conducted on different dates for all the courses offered. As per the rank of the candidates in the respective exam, they will be called for the counselling rounds.
IIST 2021 Merit List
For B. Tech Course, IIST Merit List 2021 will be prepared on the basis of their aggregate marks secured in JEE Advanced 2021. For PG courses, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE scores for interview/written test.
In the rank list, the details about date/venues of the counselling will be published through online mode. Candidates should take a print copy of it for further procedure.
IIST Admission Rank list will be generated only for those candidates who register online for admission to IIST, Pay the registration fee and satisfy all the eligibility criteria.

- Click on the link “Admission Rank List”.
- The result page will be displayed on the computer screen.
- Select your course.
- The merit list will be shown on the screen in a PDF format.
- Keep a printout copy of it for further reference.
Qualifying Marks
Candidates wishing to join B. Tech course in IIST must have to appear for JEE Main 2021 exam & then appear for JEE Advanced 2021 exam. Check below, the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE Advanced 2021:

Tie Break Rules
In case of same marks, the following tie-break rules will be applied such as:
- Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Mathematics.
- If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who secured higher marks in Physics.
- If there is a tie even after this, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who secured higher rank in JEE (Main)-2021 examination, in the respective category.

IIST Counselling 2021
Candidates will be called for the counselling process on the basis of the category wise rank list. IIST 2021 Counselling will be organized through offline mode.
Candidates can download their counselling call letter to appear in the counselling/interview process. It will be started from first week of June/July 2021 (for PG courses).
During counselling, candidates have to present their documents in person. Candidate’s documents are verified by the counselling authority.
After document verification, candidates have to give their choices of the programme as per their preferences in writing.
IIST Seat Allotment 2021
The candidates are given the confirmed seat during the seat allocation round. The candidate has to accept the seat by performing by below-mentioned steps-
- The candidate has to pay Rs.48,400/- by the online procedure as the total fee for the 1st semester, till the last date and time.
- The candidate has to upload the scanned photo of all the mark sheets and certificates, before the specified date/time.
- The candidate has to report the any of the 15 specified ISRO centres before the last date and time for the verification of original certificates and mark sheets.
IIST UG Fee Structure
The below-mentioned fee structure is based on the last year fee structure. Candidate can check the fee structure details from the given table-

Note: At the time of joining the students will have to deposit the caution money, Rs. 13000/- which will be refundable (without interest) at the time of leaving the Institute.
Instructions to Candidates
1. Online application can be made through http://admission.iist.ac.in. Read instructions thoroughly before filling up of the application. To complete the application process, please check all the boxes corresponding to the declarations.
2. A login ID and password will be sent through online for the successfully completed applicants. For course registration and setting the preference for various program, re-login using the login ID. Select courses and submit, a fee registration number will be generated.
With the profile registration number and the fee registration number you can make application fee payment on the next day of submitting the application only through “SBI Collect”.
Using the login ID and password, the candidate can confirm their seats through online web portal. First semester fee has to be remitted through “SBI Collect” to confirm the seat.
3. A fresh allotment list will be prepared and updated in IIST website every Tuesday and Friday at 1700 hrs, if vacancies exist. The candidate in the allotment list has to remit the stipulated fees on or before the subsequent Friday and Monday 0900hrs.
4. If the candidate’s highest preference is allotted and if he/she fails to remit the fees in the stipulated time, then his/her candidature will be cancelled.
5. If a candidate is allotted one of his/her lower preferences and he/she does not remit the fees, then the candidate will be eligible for being considered for his/her higher preference provided he/she chooses “Revalidate and Proceed” option as mentioned before.
Candidates can login to their web portal and withdraw from the allotted programmes in which they appear in the allotment list/waiting list. The order of preferences cannot be altered.
